Famous Theater Redevelopment

Urban Impact’s staff successfully identified a client to purchase the old Famous Theater on Fourth Avenue North, which sat empty for 6 years. The staff met on several occasions with architect Nolanda Bearden, who eventually purchased the building. The meetings helped Ms. Bearden finance the project, including local government funds. She completed a total renovation of the theater in 2009.

The building is used for her company’s office space, as well as offices for other businesses on the first floor, and loft apartments on the second floor.
