Goals and Objectives

I.  To coordinate and implement specific revitalization efforts in the 4^th Avenue Business District as part of the overall downtown revitalization master plan

1. To act as a referral agency to federal, state and local governments, and private organizations that have the expertise to assist in addressing small business concerns
2. To provide assistance to persons/organizations interested in securing funds and/or resources for the development of small businesses, and communities in the City of Birmingham
3. To provide assistance to persons/organizations in improving the image of and promoting community confidence in the business district

II.  To successfully complete the redevelopment of the Historic 4th Avenue Business District, Urban Impact adopted a three-phase concept, namely:

1. Creating a new image;
2. Cultural and historic preservation; and
3. Commercial revitalization.

III. To provide assistance to persons / organizations interested in securing funds and /or resources for the development of small businesses and communities in the City of Birmingham

IV. To provide assistance to persons / organizations in improving the image of the Business District and promoting community confidence it.
